حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أحمد بن عبد الحميد أبو جعفر الحارثي، حدثنا إسحاق بن منصور السَّلُولي، حدثنا محمد بن مُسلِم الطائفي، عن عمرو بن دينار، عن جابر: أنَّ رجلًا كان يَرفَع صوتَه بالذِّكر، فقال رجل: لو أنَّ هذا خَفَضَ من صوتِه، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: "فإنَّه أوّاهٌ". قال: فمات، فرأى رجلٌ نارًا في قبره، فأتاه، فإذا رسولُ الله ﷺ فيه وهو يقول: "هَلُمُّوا صاحِبَكم"، فإذا هو الرجلُ الذي كان يَرفَع صوته بالذِّكْر (2).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man was making dhikr (remembrance of Allah) in a loud voice. Someone said: If only he would lower his voice a little. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not say anything to him; he is indeed one who greatly beseeches Allah with sighs and humility (awwah)." The narrator said: Then that man died, and a man saw a "fire" (light) in his grave. He went there and saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was inside the grave, saying: "Bring your companion close to me." And behold, it was the same man who used to make dhikr in a loud voice.
أخبرَناه علي بن عيسى، حدثنا محمد بن عمرو الحَرَشي، حدثنا إبراهيم بن نَصْر، حدثنا أبو أحمد الزُّبَيري، حدثنا محمد بن مُسلِم الطائفي، عن عمرو بن دينار، عن جابر بن عبد الله قال: رأيتُ نارًا في المقابر، فأَتيتُهم فإذا رسولُ الله ﷺ في القبر وهو يقول: "ناوِلُوني صاحِبَكم" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. وله شاهد بإسنادٍ مُعضَل:

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I saw a fire in the graveyard. I went there, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the grave, saying: "Hand your companion over to me."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it; and it has a corroborating report (shahid) with a mu'dal chain:

أخبرنا أبو الحسن علي بن محمد بن عُقْبة الشَّيباني، حدثني أبي، حدثني أبي (1)، حدثنا وكيع، عن شعبة. وأخبرني الحسين بن علي، حدثنا محمد بن إسحاق، حدثنا بُنْدار، حدثنا محمد، حدثنا شعبة، عن أبي يونس - وهو حاتم بن أبي صَغِيرة - قال: سمعتُ رجلًا كان بمكة، وكان رُوميًّا - وفي حديث شعبة: اسمه: وقَّاص - يحدِّث عن أبي ذرٍّ، قال: كان رجلٌ يطوف بالبيت وهو يقول في دُعائِه: أَوَّهُ أَوَّهُ، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: "إِنَّهُ لأَوّاه"، قال أبو ذر: فخرجتُ ذات ليلةٍ فإذا النبيُّ ﷺ في المقابر يَدفِنُ ذلك الرجلَ ومعه المِصْباح (2).
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man was circumambulating the House of Allah and saying in his supplication: "Awwah, awwah" (sighs of lament). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, he is one who greatly beseeches with sighs and humility (awwah)." Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One night I went out and saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the graveyard, burying that man with a lamp in hand.
