A cat does not invalidate the prayer

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A cat does not break the prayer, for it is among the belongings of the house (among those who live in the house)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, since he cited Abd al-Rahman bin Abi al-Zinad as supporting evidence, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

The Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say in one of his prayers: 'Allahumma hasibni hisaban yasira' (O Allah, take me to account with an easy reckoning). When he (peace and blessings be upon him) finished, I said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the easy reckoning? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is that his record of deeds will be looked at and he will be pardoned for it. For, O Aishah, whoever is questioned closely in his reckoning on that Day will be ruined. So whatever affliction befalls the believer, Allah makes it an expiation for his sins, even a thorn that pricks him."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but they did not record it with this wording.
