Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a man purifies himself and then goes to the mosque and waits for the prayer, his recording angels write for him ten good deeds for every step he takes; the one who sits waiting for the prayer is like the one standing in devotion (the worshipper); and he is counted among those praying from the time he leaves his home until he returns."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) passed by Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was sitting at his door, gesturing with his hand as though talking to himself. He asked: O Abu Abd al-Rahman! What is the matter with you, sitting here alone talking to yourself? Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The enemy of Allah (Satan) wants to divert me from words I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Abdullah said: Is your life's struggle now to be spent in your house? Why do you not go out to the mosque and converse? Mu'adh said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever strives in the path of Allah is under the guarantee (protection) of Allah; whoever sits in his house and backbites no one is under the guarantee of Allah; whoever visits a sick person is under the guarantee of Allah; whoever goes to the mosque is under the guarantee of Allah; and whoever goes to a (just) ruler to honour him is under the guarantee of Allah." So the enemy of Allah wants me to leave my house and go to the gathering of people (so that this reward is lost).
Its narrators are trustworthy Egyptians, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
