حدثنا عمرو بن محمد بن منصور العَدْل، حدثنا محمد بن سليمان بن الحارث الواسطي، حدثنا أبو عاصم النَّبيل، حدثنا زَمْعة بن صالح، عن سَلَمة بن وَهْرام، عن عِكْرمة عن ابن عباس: أنه صلَّى على بِسَاط ثم قال: صلَّى رسول الله ﷺ على بِسَاط (3).
هذا حديث صحيح، وقد احتَجَّ البخاريُّ بعِكْرمة، واحتجَّ مسلم بزَمْعة، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he prayed on a rug and said: "the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also prayed on a rug."
This hadith is sahih (authentic); the two Shaykhs used its narrators as evidence, but they did not record it.

(3) صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف زمعة بن صالح، وأما سلمة بن وهرام فمختلف ¤ ¤ فيه، وقال أحمد: روى عنه زمعة أحاديث مناكير أخشى أن يكون حديثه ضعيفًا.
Grading: (3) It is "sahih li-ghayrihi", but this chain is weak because of the weakness of Zam'ah bin Salih.
Criticism of a narrator: Salamah bin Wahram is disputed, and Imam Ahmad said that Zam'ah narrated munkar reports from him, and that he feared his hadith was weak.
وأخرجه أحمد 3/ (2061) و 4/ (2472) من طريقين عن زمعة بن صالح، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (3/2061, 4/2472) narrated it through two routes from Zam'ah bin Salih, with this same chain.
وأخرجه أحمد أيضًا (2061)، وابن ماجه (1030) من طريقين عن زمعة بن صالح، عن عمرو بن دينار، عن ابن عباس. فهذا الخلاف اضطراب من زمعة.
Variation in the chain: Ahmad (2061) and Ibn Majah (1030) also narrated it through two routes from Zam'ah bin Salih, from Amr bin Dinar, from Ibn Abbas. So Zam'ah narrated it once with the chain of Amr bin Dinar from Ibn Abbas and once with the chain of Salamah bin Wahram; this is inconsistency (idtirab) on his part.
وأخرجه بنحوه أحمد 4/ (2426)، والترمذي (331) وصحَّحه، وابن حبان (2310) من طريق سماك بن حرب، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس قال: كان النبي ﷺ يصلِّي على الخُمْرة. وهذا إسناد صالح في الاعتبار. والخُمرة والبساط كلاهما نوع من الحصير.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (4/2426), al-Tirmidhi (331), who graded it sahih, and Ibn Hibban (2310) narrated something similar through Simak bin Harb, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray on a small mat (khumrah)." The khumrah and the bisat are both kinds of mat.
Grading: This chain is fit to be taken into consideration.
ويشهد لهذا الحديث ما تقدَّم ذكرُه عند الحديث السابق من حديث ميمونة وأنس وأبي سعيد، فيصحُّ.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: The hadiths of Maymunah, Anas and Abu Sa'id mentioned under the previous hadith support it, so it is established as sahih.
