Grading: (2) The chain is da'if because of a break (inqita'). It is not established that Hushaym heard from 'Asim bin Kulayb (al-'Ilal of Ahmad, 1459).
Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban (1920) narrated it by way of al-Harith bin Abd Allah, and it contains this addition: "When he bowed he would spread his fingers apart" (which has already passed at number 909).
Important point: It is reported from several of the Salaf that they ordered keeping the fingers together in prostration (see: Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah).
