Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Aqram (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he was with his father at Namirah, and they saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) praying. Every time he (peace and blessings be upon him) prostrated, I would see the whiteness of his (peace and blessings be upon him) blessed armpits.
In my view this hadith is sahih (authentic), because in it a son narrates from his father, and this is an established scholarly principle.

(Clarification): "Al-'ufrah" (with dammah or fathah on the 'ayn) means a whiteness that is not pure. What is meant is the whiteness of the place under the armpits where the hair grows.
