أخبرنا أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المحبوبي، حدثنا الفضل بن عبد الجبَّار، حدثنا علي بن الحسن بن شَقِيق، حدثنا الحسين بن واقد، حدثني أبو إسحاق عمرو بن عبد الله السَّبِيعي قال: سمعت البَرَاءَ بن عازِبٍ يقول: كان النبيُّ ﷺ يَسجُدُ على أَلْيَتَيِ الكفِّ (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to prostrate on the fleshy parts of his palms.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it.

(3) ضعيف مرفوعًا، الحسين بن واقد على ثقته له أوهام، وهذا منها، فقد خالفه سفيان الثوري وشعبة - وهو ثقتان جليلان - عند ابن أبي شيبة في "مصنفه" 1/ 261، فروياه عن أبي إسحاق السبيعي موقوفًا على البراء بن عازب قال: السجود على أَلْية الكفَّين، وهو الصواب.
Grading: (3) As marfu', this narration is da'if. Al-Husayn bin Waqid, although thiqah, is prone to errors.
Variation in the chain: Eminent thiqah narrators such as Sufyan al-Thawri and Shu'bah narrated it as mawquf on al-Bara' bin 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with him), i.e. as his own statement: "Prostration is on the fleshy base of the palms." And this (its being mawquf) is correct.
وأما حديث حسين بن واقد فقد أخرجه أحمد 30/ (18604)، وابن حبان (1915) من طريقين عنه، به.
