It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the Scale (Mizan) will be set up. If the heavens and the earth were placed in it, it would have room for them. The angels will say: O our Lord, whose deeds will this weigh? Allah Almighty will say: Whomever I will of My creation. At this the angels will say: Glory be to You, we have not worshipped You as You deserve to be worshipped. And the Sirat will be set up like the edge of a razor (fine and sharp). The angels will say: Whom will You save from over this? Allah Almighty will say: Whomever I will of My creation. At this they will say: Glory be to You, we have not worshipped You as You deserve to be worshipped."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: From the words "فتقول الملائكة" up to here the text has dropped out of (Z) and (B).
Grading: This narration is "sahih as mawquf". Al-Musayyab bin Zuhayr is alone in narrating it "marfu'" from Hudbah bin Khalid, from Hammad bin Salamah, whereas the majority of Hammad's students narrated it "mawquf". The most likely view is that the one who erred (wahm) in making it marfu' is "al-Musayyab bin Zuhayr", and he is "mastur al-hal" (of undisclosed standing); discussion of him has already passed under hadith number (1437). Important point: Although this report is mawquf, it has "the ruling of marfu'", because such matters (reports of the unseen) cannot be said from personal opinion. Reference / Source: Asad bin Musa recorded it in "al-Zuhd" (43, 66) from Hammad bin Salamah with this same chain, "mawquf". Reference / Source: It was also narrated "mawquf" by Ibn Abi Shaybah (13/178), Ibn al-A'rabi in his "Mu'jam" (1827), al-Ajurri in "al-Shari'ah" (894, 895) and al-Lalaka'i in "Usul al-I'tiqad" (2208, 2221) through several routes from Hammad bin Salamah. Note / Clarification: With al-Lalaka'i, in both places, the word "Thabit" is distorted into "Layth". Note / Clarification: The words "درئ فيه" mean: he was pushed/driven towards it.
