وأخبرنا الشيخ عَقِبَه: أخبرنا موسى بن إسحاق وإسماعيل بن قتيبة قالا: حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شَيْبة، حدثنا أبو أسامة عن الأعمش قال: سمعتُ خَيْثمةَ يَذكُر هذا الحديث أيضًا عن النُّعمان بن بَشير (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه!

It is narrated from al-A'mash; he said: I heard Khaythamah also mentioning this same hadith from Sayyiduna al-Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it!

Technical note / Defect ('illah): Khaythamah is "Ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Ju'fi". We have not found this route with anyone other than the author (al-Hakim).
