مِنَ السُّنَّةِ إِذَا دَخَلْتَ الْمَسْجِدَ أَنْ تَبْدَأَ بِرِجْلِكَ الْيُمْنَى وَإِذَا خَرَجْتَ أَنْ تَبْدَأَ بِرِجْلِكَ الْيُسْرَى
It is from the Sunnah to enter the mosque with the right foot first and leave with the left foot first

حدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا أبو المثنَّى، حدثنا مُسدَّد، حدثنا يزيد بن زُرَيع، عن حُمَيد الطويل، عن أنس بن مالك قال: كان رسول الله ﷺ يحبُّ أن يَلِيَه المهاجرون والأنصارُ ليأخذوا عنه (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. وله شاهد صحيح في الأَخْذ عنه:

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) liked the Muhajirun and the Ansar to be close to him (in the first row) so that they could learn (the method of prayer and the religion) from him.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, but they did not record it.

(3) إسناده صحيح. أبو المثنى: هو معاذ بن المثنى العنبري. ¤ ¤ وأخرجه أحمد 19/ (11963) و 20/ (13064) و (13135) و 21/ (13774)، وابن ماجه (977)، والنسائي (8253)، وابن حبان (7258) من طرق عن حميد الطويل، به.
Grading: (3) Its chain is sahih.
Technical note: Abu al-Muthanna is Mu'adh bin al-Muthanna.
