(1). It is narrated from Ibn Abdullah bin Mughaffal that he said: A son of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to set out towards Syria (al-Sham), so Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) looked down at him from the roof of the house and said: "O my son! Do not grieve me with the loss of your life, for the pure (genuine) ones of every Muslim will surely come from Syria."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): All its narrators are thiqah (trustworthy) and well known, except the son of 'Abd Allah bin Mughaffal. 'Ubayd Abu al-Hasan is ''Ubayd bin al-Hasan al-Muzani'. Reference / Source: Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated it in his "Musannaf" [5/323] by way of Waki' from Mis'ar from 'Ubayd bin al-Hasan from 'Ibn Ma'qil', who said: He intended… (and he mentioned the hadith). If the name in the "Musannaf" is correct and not a scribal corruption (tashif), this 'Ibn Ma'qil' is actually ''Abd al-Rahman bin Ma'qil al-Muzani', from whom 'Ubayd has a narration in "Sunan Abi Dawud", and he is regarded as trustworthy. Reference / Source: Nu'aym bin Hammad narrated it in similar form in "al-Fitan" (1760) by way of Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah from 'Ubayd bin al-Hasan from 'Abd Allah bin Mughaffal. There the word "Ibn" has dropped out (i.e. directly from 'Abd Allah), whereas 'Ubayd did not live in the time of 'Abd Allah bin Mughaffal.
