It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hisham bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that people used to pass by me and go to Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) (to hear hadith), so Hisham said (out of kindness): These people go to a man although we were present in the gatherings of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) more than he was and have preserved his sayings better. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "From the creation of Adam until the establishment of the Hour, there is no tribulation greater in the sight of Allah than the Dajjal."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Bukhari, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
14/ 157. Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts this name was corrupted into "al-Husayn"; the correction is from "Ithaf al-Maharah" (17230). This "al-Hasan bin Sufyan" is a well-known hadith master (hafiz); see his biography in "Siyar A'lam al-Nubala'" (14/157).
Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts this was corrupted into "al-Qatfawi".
Grading: The hadith is sahih, (but) this chain is "munqati'" (broken): Humayd bin Hilal did not hear this hadith from Hisham bin 'Amir; between them in this narration there is a group (of intermediaries): Abu al-Dahma' and Abu Qatadah, the two 'Adawis of Basra, as will come. Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narrators of this chain, to the last of them, are all thiqah (trustworthy) except al-Tufawi, who is "saduq" (truthful) and hasan in hadith. (Identification of narrators): Abu 'Ali al-Hafiz is "al-Naysaburi, al-Husayn bin 'Ali bin Yazid"; 'Imran bin Musa is "Ibn Mujashi' al-Sakhtiyani al-Jurjani"; and Ayyub is "Ibn Abi Tamimah al-Sakhtiyani". Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it in (26/16253) from Isma'il Ibn 'Ulayyah, in (16255) from Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah, and in (16267) by way of Hammad bin Zayd; and Imam Muslim in (2946/126) by way of 'Abd al-'Aziz bin al-Mukhtar, and in (127) by way of 'Ubayd Allah bin 'Amr al-Raqqi. All of them (Isma'il, Sufyan, Hammad, 'Abd al-'Aziz, 'Ubayd Allah) narrate it from Ayyub from Humayd bin Hilal. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Sufyan did not mention the intermediary between Humayd and Hisham bin 'Amir; Isma'il said "'an ba'd ashyakhihim" (from some of their shaykhs), while others named them as "Abu Qatadah" and "Abu al-Dahma'". Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad also narrated it in (16265) by way of Sulayman bin al-Mughirah from Humayd bin Hilal from Hisham bin 'Amir.
