It is narrated from Amr bin Hurayth that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill, then his pain eased somewhat, so he led the people in prayer, praised Allah and extolled Him, and said: I am your sincere well-wisher. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The Dajjal will emerge from the direction of the east, from a land called Khurasan. With him will be a people whose faces are like shields (broad)."

Hadith Takhrij«
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: The printed edition has "kushif", and the manuscripts have "kusir" (with an undotted sin); perhaps with a dotted shin ("kushshir"), as we have established, is more correct, and its meaning is like "kushif" (bared).
Grading: Its chain is also "hasan", like the preceding hadith. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Ishaq al-Fazari is "Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin al-Harith". (628). Reference / Source: It was narrated by way of 'Abd Allah bin Shawdhab by: al-Bazzar (46 and 47), Ahmad bin 'Ali al-Marwazi in "Musnad Abi Bakr" (58), Abu Ya'la (34), Ibn Qani' in "Mu'jam al-Sahabah" (2/61) and Abu 'Amr al-Dani in "al-Sunan al-Waridah fi al-Fitan" (628).
