It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said (about Gog and Magog): "Gog and Magog (Ya'juj and Ma'juj) are one span, two spans and three spans (in height), and they are from the descendants of Adam."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: The manuscripts have "wa-shibrayn", whereas the correct and standard form is what we have established (in the text).
Grading: Its chain is da'if (weak). Technical note / Defect ('illah): An error or an omission (a narrator dropping out) has occurred in this chain of the author (al-Hakim), because Muslim bin Ibrahim, who is al-Azdi al-Farahidi, did not hear from 'Amr bin Malik al-Nukri, and he narrates from him only "through an intermediary". One of these intermediaries is "Yahya bin 'Amr bin Malik"; if he is the one between them, then there is agreement that he is weak. Reference / Source: al-Suyuti mentioned this report in "al-Durr al-Manthur" and also attributed it to Ibn al-Mundhir, Ibn Abi Hatim and Ibn Mardawayh, but we have not come across the chain of any of them.
