It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the Hour, his (peace and blessings be upon him) blessed cheeks would turn red, his anger would intensify and his voice would rise, as though he (peace and blessings be upon him) were warning of an army, saying that it "will attack you in the morning, or will attack you in the evening."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it.

13/ 390 - 391. Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts this has been corrupted into "Mihrab", and in the printed edition into "Mihran". This Muhammad bin Ghalib is the well-known hafiz nicknamed "Tamtam". See his biography in "Siyar A'lam al-Nubala'" (13/390-391).
Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts this has been corrupted into "Habib"; the correction is from "Ithaf al-Maharah" (3132) and the sources for his biography.
(1799) Grading: Its chain is sahih. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ja'far bin Muhammad is the one known as al-Sadiq, and his father is Muhammad bin 'Ali bin al-Husayn al-Hashimi, known as al-Baqir. Reference / Source: Ahmad (22/14630) and (23/14984), Muslim (867) (45) and al-Nasa'i Reference / Source: and (5861), and Ibn Hibban (3062) recorded it through several routes from Sufyan al-Thawri, with this chain. So al-Hakim's inclusion of it as an addition (istidrak) ذهولٌ منه. Technical note / Defect ('illah): is an oversight on his part. Reference / Source: Ahmad (22/14334) and (14431), Muslim (867) (43) and (44), Ibn Majah (45) and Ibn Hibban (10) recorded it through several routes from Ja'far bin Muhammad, with it.
