حدثنا أبو جعفر محمد بن أحمد بن سعيد المذكِّر، حدثنا الحسين بن داود بن معاذ، حدثنا مَكّيُّ بن إبراهيم، حدثنا أيمن بن نابِلٍ، عن قُدَامة بن عبد الله بن عمّار الكِلَابي قال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: "عليكم باتَّقاء اللهِ والجماعةِ، فإنَّ الله لا يجمعُ هذه الأُمةَ على الضَّلالة، وعليكم بالصبر حتى يَستريحَ بَرٌّ أو يُستراحَ من فاجر" (1).
هذا حديث لم نَكتُبْه بهذا الإسناد إلَّا عن هذا الشيخ، والحملُ فيه على الحسين بن داود، فإنه لم يصحَّ عندنا (2) بهذا الإسناد إلّا حديث واحدٌ:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qudamah bin Abdullah bin Ammar al-Kilabi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Hold fast to the fear of Allah and to adherence to the community, for Allah will not unite this Ummah upon misguidance. And be patient until a righteous servant finds rest (by departing this world) or rest is found from a wicked man (by the ending of his evil)."
We have recorded this hadith with this chain only from this shaykh, and the burden of it lies on al-Husayn bin Dawud, for according to us only one hadith is soundly established with this chain.

(1) إسناده ضعيف جدًّا، الحسين بن داود بن معاذ أحد المتروكين كما قال الذهبي في ترجمته من "تاريخ الإسلام" 6/ 740، وشيخ المصنف ليس بذاك القوي، وإنما يعتبر به في المتابعات والشواهد.
Grading: Its chain is very weak.
Technical note: Al-Husayn bin Dawud bin Mu'adh is one of the matruk (abandoned) narrators, as al-Dhahabi said in his biography in "Tarikh al-Islam" (6/740), and the author's (al-Hakim's) shaykh is also not very strong, but he can be taken into account in corroborating chains and supporting reports.
