It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until saying 'La ilaha illallah' (There is no god but Allah) has ceased on the earth."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is sahih. Narrator identification: Ahmad bin Salamah is Abu al-Fadl al-Naysaburi, who is one of the precise hadith masters (huffaz), and Humayd is Humayd al-Tawil. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (19/1203) and al-Tirmidhi (2207) narrated it by the route of Muhammad bin Abi 'Adi; Imam Ahmad (20/13082) from Yazid bin Harun; al-Tirmidhi (2207-M) by the route of Khalid bin al-Harith; and Ibn Mandah in "al-Iman" (449) by the route of Muhammad bin 'Abd Allah al-Ansari. All four of these narrators report it from Humayd al-Tawil, from Anas. Details of the narration: In all of them the wording is: "Until 'Allah, Allah' is not said on the earth", and, Allah willing, this is the "mahfuz" (preserved) version. Technical note: Khalid bin al-Harith is alone in making the hadith mawquf on Anas; this narration of his is "shadh". Imam al-Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on him) erred in preferring the mawquf narration over the marfu' narration. Note / Clarification: See the next three hadiths.
