It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near! At the turn of (the year) sixty (AH), the trust will be regarded as booty, charity will be regarded as a penalty, testimony will be given on the basis of acquaintance, and judgement will be passed according to desires."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it with these additions.

Grading: This hadith is narrated both as marfu' and as mawquf, but its being "mawquf" is more likely (ashbah). Technical note / Defect ('illah): Identification of the narrators: "Ishaq bin Ibrahim" refers to Ibn 'Abbad al-Dabari, and "Sa'id" refers to Sa'id bin Abi Sa'id al-Maqburi. Reference / Source: This narration is in "Jami' Ma'mar" in the transmission of Ishaq al-Dabari from 'Abd al-Razzaq, under number (20777). Technical note / Defect ('illah): There it comes with the word "يرويه" (he narrates it), which is one of the expressions indicating attribution (raf') to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). There it is made the narration of an "unnamed man" narrating from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him); however, Ma'mar said: "I think he is Sa'id (al-Maqburi)." Reference / Source: Nu'aym bin Hammad narrated it from 'Abd al-Razzaq in "al-Fitan" (1981), and he said in it: "from a man, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)". Technical note / Defect ('illah): And he kept it mawquf on Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) and did (not) raise it as marfu' to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Reference / Source: It was narrated, as in "'Ilal al-Daraqutni" (2059), by Muhammad bin Mus'ab al-Qarqasani and Ja'far bin al-Harith Abu al-Ashhab, from Isma'il bin Umayyah, from Sa'id al-Maqburi, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him). Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Qarqasani narrated it as "marfu'", while Abu al-Ashhab narrated it as "mawquf". Imam al-Daraqutni said: "The mawquf narration is closer to being correct." We (the editors) say: there is criticism of both al-Qarqasani and Abu al-Ashhab, and both have some weakness (lin). (372). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Its opening part, namely the saying, "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near", is also narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) outside this hadith. See hadith number (372), which has passed with the author.
