ما حدَّثَناه أبو أحمد علي بن محمد الأزرقي بمَرُو، حدثنا أبو جعفر محمد بن إسماعيل بن سالم الصائغ بمكّة، حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن الوليد الأزرقي، مؤذِّنُ المسجد الحرام، حدثنا مسلم بن خالد الزَّنْجي، عن العلاء بن عبد الرحمن، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "إني أُرِيتُ في منامي كأَنَّ بني الحَكَم بن أبي العاص يَنزُون على مِنبري كما تَنْزُو القِرَدةُ". قال: فما رئي النبي ﷺ مستجمعًا ضاحكًا حتى تُوفِّي (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. ومنها:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was shown in my dream that Banu al-Hakam bin Abi al-As were leaping about on my pulpit the way monkeys leap." (The narrator said:) After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was never seen laughing fully until he passed away.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(3) إسناده حسن في المتابعات والشواهد من أجل مسلم بن خالد الزَّنجي، وقد توبع، وباقي رجاله لا بأس بهم.
Grading: Its chain is "hasan" in corroborations and supporting reports, on account of "Muslim bin Khalid al-Zanji" (who is saduq but prone to errors); however, he has been corroborated, and there is no problem with the remaining narrators.
وأخرجه أبو يعلى (6461) عن مصعب بن عبد الله الزُّبيري، عن عبد العزيز بن أبي حازم، عن العلاء، بهذا الإسناد ومصعب وعبد العزيز لا بأس بهما. ينزون: أي: يتواثبون.
Reference / Source: Abu Ya'la (6461) narrated it from Mus'ab bin 'Abdullah al-Zubayri, from 'Abd al-'Aziz bin Abi Hazim, from al-'Ala', with this same chain; and there is no problem with either Mus'ab or 'Abd al-'Aziz.
Note / Clarification: "ينزون" means: they will leap / jump about.
وقوله: "مستجمعًا ضاحكًا" أي مقبلًا على الضحك، والمستجمع: المجدّ في الشيء القاصد له.
Note / Clarification: The phrase "مستجمعًا ضاحكًا" means: given over to laughter. "مستجمع" is said of a person who is earnest in something and intent upon it.
