Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever any one of you performs ablution well and completely, then comes to the mosque intending nothing but the prayer, Allah Almighty is pleased with his coming just as the family of an absent person are pleased when he comes."

(Clarification): (2) The portion from "haddathana Abu Bakr" up to here has dropped out of the printed edition.
11/ 9. Grading: (3) The chain is weak because "Abu 'Ubaydah", who narrates it from Sa'id bin Yasar, is majhul. Al-Daraqutni also declared him majhul in "al-'Ilal". Reference / Source: Ahmad (13/8065 etc.) narrated it through various routes from al-Layth bin Sa'd with this same chain. See the narration before it.
