وأخبرنا أبو عبد الله الصَّفّار، حدثنا محمد بن إبراهيم، حدثنا الحسين بن حفص، حدثنا سفيان، عن الصَّلت بن بَهرامَ، عن مُنذر بن هَوْدَة، عن خَرَشة بن الحُرِّ قال: قال حذيفة: كيف أنتم إذا انفرجتُم عن دينكم انفراج المرأة عن قُبُلها، لا تمنعُ من يأتيها؟ قال: فقال رجل: قبَّح الله العاجز، قال: بل قُبِّحت أنت (2). هذان الحديثان صحيحا الإسنادين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "What will be your state when you separate from your religion just as a woman opens at her private part, not preventing anyone who comes to her?" At this a man said: "May Allah disgrace the one who is incapable!" So Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Rather, you will be disgraced."
Both of these hadiths have authentic (sahih) chains of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record them.

(2) حسن بما قبله، ومنذر بن هوذة لم يرو عنه سوى الصلت بن بهرام، فهو في عداد المجهولين، ذلك فقد ذكره ابن حبان في "ثقاته".
Grading: It is "hasan" on the basis of the previous narration.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): No one narrated from the narrator Mundhir bin Hawdhah except al-Salt bin Bahram, so he is counted among the unknown narrators; despite this, Ibn Hibban mentioned him in his book "al-Thiqat".
وأخرجه ابن وضاح في "البدع والنهي عنها" (218) من طريق عبد الرحمن بن مهدي، عن سفيان الثوري، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ibn Waddah narrated it in "al-Bida' wa-l-Nahy 'anha" (218) via the route of 'Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi from Sufyan al-Thawri with this same chain.
وأخرجه ابن أبي شيبة 15/ 18 عن عبد الله بن نمير، وأبو عمرو الداني في "السنن الواردة في الفتن" (241) من طريق مروان بن معاوية الفزاري كلاهما عن الصلت بن بهرام، به.
Reference / Source: Ibn Abi Shaybah (15/ 18) narrated it from 'Abd Allah bin Numayr, and Abu 'Amr al-Dani in "al-Sunan al-Waridah fi al-Fitan" (241) via the route of Marwan bin Mu'awiyah al-Fazari, both of them ('Abd Allah and Marwan) from al-Salt bin Bahram, with this same chain.
