أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الصَّفّار، حدثنا محمد بن إبراهيم الأصبهاني، حدثنا الحسين بن حفص، عن سفيان، عن الأعمش، عن خَيْثَمة، عن عبد الله بن عمرو قال: يأتي على الناس زمانٌ لا يبقى فيه مؤمن إلَّا لَحِقَ بالشام (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "A time will come upon the people when no believer will remain except that he will have joined (the people of) Sham."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(1) خبر صحيح محمد بن إبراهيم الأصبهاني مجهول كما سبق مرارًا لكنه لم ينفرد به.
Grading: This report is "sahih". Although "Muhammad bin Ibrahim al-Asbahani" is majhul, as has been mentioned repeatedly, he is not alone in this narration (it is corroborated).
سفيان: هو الثوري، وخيثمة: هو ابن عبد الرحمن الجُعفي.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Sufyan (mentioned in the chain) is "Sufyan al-Thawri", and Khaythamah is "Khaythamah bin Abd al-Rahman al-Ju'fi".
وأخرجه ابن المبارك في "الجهاد" (193)، ومن طريقه ابن عساكر في "تاريخ دمشق" 1/ 315 عن سفيان الثوري، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Ibn al-Mubarak in "al-Jihad" (193), and through his route by Ibn Asakir in "Tarikh Dimashq" (1/ 315), from Sufyan al-Thawri, with this same chain.
وأخرجه ابن أبي شيبة 5/ 324، ويعقوب بن سفيان في "المعرفة والتاريخ" 2/ 304، وأبو بكر الخلّال في "السنة" (1308)، وابن عساكر 1/ 315 من طرق عن سفيان، به. وزاد فيه الخلال ما سلف عند المصنف برقم (8570).

Abu Bakr al-Khallal added to it what has passed with the author (al-Hakim) under number (8570).
وأخرجه معمر في "جامعه" (20778) عن الأعمش، به.
