أخبرنا أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المحبوبيُّ بمَرُو، حدثنا الفَضْل بن عبد الجبار، حدثنا النَّضر بن شُميل، أخبرنا محمد بن عمرو، عن أبي سلمة، عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "ويلٌ للعرب من شرٍّ قد اقترب، موتوا إن استطعتُم" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Woe to the Arabs because of an evil that has drawn near. If you are able, embrace death (to escape the tribulations)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it in their books.

(3) إسناده حسن من أجل محمد بن عمرو: وهو ابن علقمة. أبو سلمة: هو ابن عبد الرحمن بن عوف. وأخرجه أبو عمرو الداني في "السنن الواردة في الفتن" (53) من طريق محمد بن عبد العزيز بن أبي رزمة، عن النضر بن شميل بهذا الإسناد.
Grading: Its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Amr (who is Ibn Alqamah).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Salamah is "Ibn Abd al-Rahman bin Awf".
Reference / Source: Abu Amr al-Dani recorded it in "al-Sunan al-Waridah fi al-Fitan" (53) by way of Muhammad bin Abd al-Aziz bin Abi Rizmah, from al-Nadr bin Shumayl, with this same chain.
