Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The name (Tariq bin Shihab) is given thus here by the author (al-Hakim), which is a mistake, because Tariq bin Shihab saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) though he did not hear from him, and some counted him among the Companions; so it is impossible for someone like him to narrate from Mundhir al-Thawri or for Ma'mar to narrate from him. In "Jami' Ma'mar" and elsewhere it is narrated as "from Tariq" (without further lineage), and this is correct. This Tariq could not be identified by us, nor is his status known.
Grading: This report is strong.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): There is no harm in its narrators and they are well known, except Tariq, since, as has passed, we could not find information about his status; but he has a mutaba'ah (corroboration). Ishaq bin Ibrahim is Ibn Abbad al-Dabari, and this report is in "Jami' Ma'mar" in his narration from Abd al-Razzaq, at number (20733).
Reference / Source: Nu'aym bin Hammad recorded it in "al-Fitan" (78) from Ibn Thawr (who is Muhammad bin Thawr al-San'ani) and Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, with this same chain.
Reference / Source: Nu'aym also recorded it at (77), Ibn Abi Shaybah (15/24), and Ishaq bin Rahawayh in his "Musnad", as in "al-Matalib al-Aliyah" (4361), from Abu Usamah Hammad bin Usamah; and Abu Amr al-Dani in "al-Sunan al-Waridah fi al-Fitan" (29) by way of Abu Mu'awiyah Muhammad bin Khazim; and both of them (Abu Usamah and Abu Mu'awiyah) narrated it from al-A'mash, from Mundhir al-Thawri, with this same chain.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): These two were contradicted by Sharik al-Nakha'i in Abu al-Qasim al-Baghawi's "al-Ja'diyyat" (2119), and by Sufyan al-Thawri (as will come ahead with the author at number 8751). The two of them narrated it from al-A'mash, from Mundhir al-Thawri, from Muhammad Ibn al-Hanafiyyah (who is Muhammad bin Ali bin Abi Talib), from his father Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Since Sharik has a poor memory (sayyi' al-hifz) and there is weakness in the route leading to Sufyan, the preserved (mahfuz) narration is that of al-A'mash from Mundhir, from Asim bin Damrah, from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and this is a strong chain.
Details of the narration: Al-Waddah al-Yashkuri narrated it within a lengthy report (which will come ahead at number 8870) from al-A'mash, from Salim bin Abi al-Ja'd, from Tarafah al-Musli, from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).
