وعن الأعمش، عن عُمارة بن عُمير، عن أبي مَعمَر، عن عمرو بن شُرَحبيل، عن حُذيفة قال: لا تزالون بخيرٍ ما لم يكن عليكم أمراءُ لا يرون لكم حقًّا إلا إذا شاؤوا (1). هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين بالإسنادين جميعًا. [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] ترقيم العلميه 8343 - على شرط البخاري ومسلم
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "You will remain in good as long as you do not have rulers who consider your rights to depend solely on their own will."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs with both chains.

(1) هو بإسناد سابقه إلى الأعمش، ورجاله لا بأس بهم معروفون غير محمد بن إبراهيم الأصفهاني. Note / Clarification: This is with the same chain as the preceding one up to al-A'mash, and its narrators are well known and acceptable except Muhammad bin Ibrahim al-Asfahani. أبو معمر: هو عبد الله بن سخبرة الأزدي، وعمرو بن شرحبيل: هو الهمداني الكوفي. Technical note / Defect ('illah): "Abu Ma'mar" is Abdullah bin Sakhbarah al-Azdi, and "Amr bin Shurahbil" is al-Hamdani al-Kufi.
