أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الصَّفّار، حدثنا محمد بن إبراهيم الأصفهاني، حدثنا الحسين بن حفص، حدثنا سفيان، عن الأعمش، عن عُمارة بن عُمَير، عن أبي عمَّار، عن حُذيفة قال: يكون أمراء يُعذِّبونكم ويُعذِّبُهم الله (2).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "There will be rulers who will torment you, and Allah will punish them."

(2) خبر قوي، لا بأس برجاله غير محمد بن إبراهيم الأصفهاني - وهو ابن أُورمة كما سبق مرارًا عند المصنف - فإنه مجهول لا يُعرَف، لكنه لم ينفرد به.
Grading: This report is strong.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): There is no harm in its narrators except "Muhammad bin Ibrahim al-Asfahani" (who is Ibn Awramah, as has passed repeatedly); he is majhul (unknown) and not known, but he is not alone in it.
فقد رواه المصنف فيما سيأتي برقم (8750) من طريق حميد بن عياش الرملي عن مؤمَّل بن إسماعيل، عن سفيان: وهو الثوري. ومؤمّل - وإن كان سيئ الحفظ - يعتبر به في المتابعات والشواهد.
Reference / Source: The author (al-Hakim) narrated it ahead at number (8750) by way of Humayd bin Ayyash al-Ramli, from Mu'ammal bin Isma'il, from Sufyan (al-Thawri).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Although "Mu'ammal" had a poor memory, he is taken into consideration in corroborating chains and supporting reports.
أبو عمار: هو عَريب بن حُميد الدُّهني، وحذيفة: هو ابن اليمان.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): "Abu Ammar" is Arib bin Humayd al-Duhni, and "Hudhayfah" is Ibn al-Yaman.
وأخرجه أبو القاسم البغوي في "الجعديات" (2321) عن علي بن الجعد، عن شريك - وهو ابن عبد الله النخعي - عن الرُّكين بن الرَّبيع، عن أبيه، عن حذيفة. وشريك وإن كان في حفظه سوء - حسن الحديث في المتابعات والشواهد.
