Hammam narrates that Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) led the people in prayer at al-Mada'in on a raised platform, so Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) took hold of his shirt and pulled him down. When he finished the prayer, Abu Mas'ud said: "Do you not know that they (the Companions) used to forbid this?" Hudhayfah said: "Indeed I do; I remembered it when you pulled me."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, but they did not record it.
