Abdullah bin Bishr al-Ghanawi narrates from his father that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "You will certainly conquer Constantinople; how excellent will be the commander who is its commander, and how excellent will be the army that is that army." Abdullah said: Then Maslamah bin Abd al-Malik called me and asked me about this hadith, so I narrated it to him, after which he launched a campaign against Constantinople.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): All its narrators are thiqah except "'Abd Allah bin Bishr al-Ghanawi", about whose name, his father's name and his lineage there is disagreement. On that basis there is also disagreement about his status (whether trustworthy or weak), the details of which are given in the commentary on his hadith in "Musnad Ahmad" (31/ 18957).
Reference / Source: This hadith was recorded by Imam Muhammad bin Ishaq (that is, Imam Ibn Khuzaymah) in "Kitab al-Jihad", as Hafiz Ibn Hajar mentioned in "Ithaf al-Maharah" (2397), with this same chain.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The direct narration of 'Abdah bin 'Abd Allah al-Khuza'i from al-Walid bin al-Mughirah is "not preserved" (ghayr mahfuz). What is "preserved" (mahfuz) is that Zayd bin al-Hubab is the intermediary between them.
Reference / Source: Thus Imam al-Bukhari narrated it in "al-Tarikh al-Kabir" (2/ 81) from 'Abdah bin 'Abd Allah, who said: Zayd bin al-Hubab narrated to us, he said: al-Walid bin al-Mughirah narrated to us (to the end). Technical note / Defect ('illah): al-Bukhari named its narrator "'Ubayd Allah bin Bishr al-Ghanawi from his father", and this hadith is not preserved except through the narration of Zayd bin al-Hubab.
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad and his son 'Abd Allah narrated it at (31/ 18957) from Ibn Abi Shaybah, from Zayd bin al-Hubab, from al-Walid bin al-Mughirah, with the same chain. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Imam Ahmad named the narrator "'Abd Allah bin Bishr al-Khath'ami from his father". (See the rest of its takhrij there.)
