أخبرني أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المحبوبيُّ، حدَّثنا أبو عيسى محمد بن عيسى، حدَّثنا قُتيبة بن سعيد، حدَّثنا بكر بن مُضَر، عن ابن الهاد، عن عبد الله بن خَبَّاب، عن أبي سعيدٍ الخُدْري، أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول: "إذا رأى أحدُكم الرُّؤيا يحبُّها فإنما هي من الله، فليَحمَدِ الله عليها وليُحدِّثْ بما رأى، وإذا رأى غيرَ ذلك مما يَكرَه فإنما هي من الشيطان، فليَستعِذْ بالله من شَرِّها ولا يَذْكُرْها لأحد، فإنها لا تَضرُّه" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين ولم يُخرجاه!

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "When one of you sees a dream that he likes, it is from Allah, so he should praise Allah for it and tell others about it. And when he sees something else that he dislikes, it is from Satan, so he should seek refuge with Allah from its evil and not mention it to anyone, for then it will not harm him."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it!

(1) إسناده صحيح. أبو عيسى محمد بن عيسى: هو الإمام الترمذي المشهور صاحب "السنن"، وابن الهاد: هو يزيد بن عبد الله، وعبد الله بن خباب: هو الأنصاري المدني.
Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Isa Muhammad bin Isa is the famous Imam al-Tirmidhi, author of the "Sunan". Ibn al-Had is "Yazid bin Abd Allah", and Abd Allah bin Khabbab is "al-Ansari al-Madani".
والحديث في "جامع الترمذي" (3453). وقال: حديث حسن صحيح.
Reference / Source: This hadith is in "Jami' al-Tirmidhi" (3453). Grading: He said: the hadith is hasan sahih.
وأخرجه أحمد 17/ (11054)، والنسائي (7605) و (10729) من طريق قتيبة بن سعيد، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (17/11054) and al-Nasa'i (7605, 10729) narrated it via Qutaybah bin Sa'id with this same chain.
وأخرجه البخاري (6985) و (7045) من طرق عن يزيد بن الهاد به. فاستدراك الحاكم له ذهولٌ منه.
Reference / Source: Al-Bukhari (6985, 7045) narrated it via various routes from Yazid bin al-Had. Note / Clarification: So al-Hakim's including it in the Mustadrak is an oversight on his part.
