حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا محمد بن عبد الوهاب، حدثنا عمرو بن عاصم الكِلَابي، حدثنا همَّام عن القاسم بن عبد الواحد، عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عَقِيل، عن جابر قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "إِنَّ أَخَوَفَ ما أَخافُ على أمّتي عملُ قومِ لوطٍ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The thing I fear most for my Ummah is the act of the people of Lut (sodomy)."
This hadith has an authentic chain (sahih al-isnad), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(2) إسناده ضعيف، القاسم بن عبد الواحد وعبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل إنما يقبل حديثهما عند المتابعة، ولم نقف لهما على متابع محمد بن عبد الوهاب: هو ابن حبيب العبدي.
Grading of the chain: This chain is weak; the hadith of al-Qasim bin Abd al-Wahid and Abd Allah bin Muhammad bin Aqil is accepted only when corroborated, and we have not found any corroborator for either of them. (The narrator) Muhammad bin Abd al-Wahhab is "Ibn Habib al-Abdi".
وأخرجه أحمد 23/ (15093)، والترمذي (1457) من طريق يزيد بن هارون عن همّام بن يحيى، بهذا الإسناد. وقال الترمذي: حسن غريب، إنما نعرفه من هذا الوجه عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل بن أبي طالب عن جابر.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (23/15093) and al-Tirmidhi (1457) narrated it via Yazid bin Harun, from Hammam bin Yahya, with this same chain. Al-Tirmidhi said: "It is hasan gharib; we know it only through this route, from Abd Allah bin Muhammad bin Aqil bin Abi Talib, from Jabir."
وأخرجه ابن ماجه (2563) من طريق عبد الوارث بن سعيد، عن القاسم بن عبد الواحد، به.
Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (2563) narrated it via Abd al-Warith bin Sa'id, from al-Qasim bin Abd al-Wahid, with this same chain.
وله شاهد لا يفرح به من حديث ابن عباس عند ابن عدي في "الكامل" 2/ 173، وإسناده واهٍ، فيه الجارود بن يزيد، وهو متهم بالكذب.
Supporting reports and criticism: It has a supporting report from the hadith of Ibn Abbas in Ibn Adi's "al-Kamil" (2/173), but it is nothing to rejoice over (not reliable); its chain is "wahin" (extremely weak): it contains al-Jarud bin Yazid, who is accused of lying.
