Awsajah (the freed slave of Ibn Abbas) narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) say that in the blessed time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a man died who left no heir or relative except the slave he had freed, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave his inheritance (to that slave).

Grading: Its chain is weak, like the previous narration. Reference / Source: It is in "Musnad al-Humaydi" (533). Ahmad (3/ 1930), Ibn Majah (2741), al-Tirmidhi (2106) and al-Nasa'i (6376) narrated it via routes from Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah with this same chain. Al-Tirmidhi graded it hasan. Al-Nasa'i said: "'Awsajah is not well known, and we do not know anyone who narrates from him other than 'Amr bin Dinar."
