Sayyiduna Ibn Umm Maktum (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I said: "O Messenger of Allah! There are many venomous creatures and wild beasts in Madinah (and I am blind)." He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you hear 'Hayya 'ala al-salah, hayya 'ala al-falah' (Come to prayer, come to success)?" I said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then come (to the mosque)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs did not record it. It also has a corroborating report (shahid) with a sahih chain.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, but this chain is "munqati'" (broken). Abd al-Rahman bin Abis did not hear from Ibn Umm Maktum; between them is Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla, and he too did not hear from him. Sufyan refers to al-Thawri. Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (553) and al-Nasa'i (926) narrated it by the chain of Harun bin Zayd, in which Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla is mentioned. (6818). Reference / Source: Al-Nasa'i (926) also narrated it by the chain of Qasim bin Yazid from Sufyan. It will come further on at number (6818). (653). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: It is supported by the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (Muslim 653).
