حدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل، حدثنا أبو كامل الجَحْدري، حدثنا الفُضَيل (1) بن سليمان، حدثنا موسى بن عُقْبة، عن إسحاق بن يحيى بن الوليد بن عُبَادة، عن عُبَادة بن الصامت قال: إِنَّ من قضاءِ رسول الله ﷺ للجدَّتين من الميراث السُّدسَ بينهما بالسَّوِيّة (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that among the rulings of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was this: for two grandmothers (paternal or maternal), one-sixth (al-sudus) of the inheritance is fixed, to be divided between them equally.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts this name was distorted into "al-Fadl".
(2) إسناده ضعيف، الفضيل بن سليمان - وهو النُّميري - ليِّن الحديث، وإسحاق بن يحيى بن الوليد مجهول الحال، ثم روايته عن جدِّ أبيه عبادة مرسلة. أبو كامل الجحدري: هو فضيل بن حسين بن طلحة.
Grading: Its chain is da'if (weak).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Fudayl bin Sulayman (al-Numayri) is "layyin al-hadith" (a weak narrator), and Ishaq bin Yahya bin al-Walid is "majhul al-hal" (of unknown condition); moreover, his narration from his great-grandfather 'Ubadah is "mursal". Abu Kamil al-Jahdari is Fudayl bin Husayn bin Talhah.
وهو في زوائد عبد الله على "مسند أحمد" 37/ ضمن الحديث (22778).
Reference / Source: This narration is in 'Abdullah's additions to "Musnad Ahmad" (37/ within hadith 22778).
وأخرجه الشاشي في "مسنده" (1199) ضمن حديث الأقضية من طريق الصلت بن مسعود، والبيهقي 6/ 235 من طريق محمد بن أبي بكر، كلاهما عن الفضيل بن سليمان، به.
