Kharijah bin Zayd bin Thabit narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), that he used to say: In the speech of the Arabs, two or more (brothers) are called "ikhwah" (brothers).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
