It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Learn al-fara'id and teach it to people, for I am a man who will be taken from this world, and knowledge too will soon be taken away, until two men will disagree over an obligatory share but will find no one to settle the matter between them."
Imam al-Hakim says: When the narrators differ, the version of al-Nadr bin Shumayl is the one relied upon.
