Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 814

ما حدَّثَناه أبو سعيد أحمد بن يعقوب الثقفي، حدثنا الحسن بن علي بن شَبِيب المَعْمَري، حدثنا أبو غسّان مالك بن الخليل، حدثنا أبو سليمان داود بن الحَكم حدثنا شعبة، عن عَدِي بن ثابت، عن سعيد بن جُبير، عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "من سَمِعَ النداءَ فلم يأتِه، فلا صلاةَ له إلّا من عُذْر" (3). وفي الشواهد لشعبة فيه متابعاتٌ مُسنَدة، فمنها:
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever hears the call to prayer and does not come, there is no prayer for him, except for a valid excuse."

Grading: (3) Like the previous narration, it is sahih as mawquf, but
Technical note / Defect ('illah): this chain is da'if, because its narrator Abu Sulayman Dawud bin al-Hakam is unknown (la yu'raf).
