Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is very weak.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The reason is Yazid bin Sinan al-Rahawi, the grandfather of Abu Farwah Yazid bin Muhammad; he is very weak and narrates munkar reports, and his son Muhammad is also weak.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Dhahabi said in "al-Talkhis": It is wahin (very weak).
Details of the narration: Ibn al-Sunni recorded it in "al-Qana'ah" (63) from al-Husayn bin Musa al-Ras'ani, and he paired Abu 'Arubah al-Harrani with him (maqrun), with this same chain.
Reference / Source: Ibn 'Asakir recorded it in "Tarikh Dimashq" (10/ 465) and al-Diya' al-Maqdisi in "al-Muntaqa min Masmu'at Marw" (609).
Details of the narration: This narration comes through two routes from Muhammad bin Yazid al-Rahawi, from his father (Yazid), from 'Ata', from Bilal, and it does not mention (the Companion) Abu Sa'id al-Khudri.
Reference / Source: Al-Khatib recorded it in "Tarikh Baghdad" (16/ 563) via Talhah bin Zayd al-Raqqi, from Abu Farwah Yazid bin Sinan, from 'Ata', from Abu Sa'id.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): It does not mention Bilal, and (the narrator) Talhah al-Raqqi is matruk (abandoned) and accused of fabrication (muttaham bil-wad').
Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani recorded it in "al-Kabir" (1021), and from him Abu Nu'aym in "al-Hilyah" (1/ 149).
Details of the narration: This narration is via Talhah bin Zayd, from Abu Farwah Yazid bin Sinan, from Abu al-Mubarak, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, from Bilal (here Abu al-Mubarak has been put in place of 'Ata').
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This Abu al-Mubarak in fact narrates only from 'Ata' bin Abi Rabah from Abu Sa'id, because he is a later narrator, and the most likely view is that ('Ata''s name) has dropped out of al-Tabarani's narration. In any case, he (Abu al-Mubarak) is majhul (unknown); Abu Farwah Yazid bin Sinan alone narrates from him, and he is weak, and below him is Talhah al-Raqqi, who is accused, as has passed.
Reference / Source: And al-Tabarani (1022) narrated from Bilal with the same previous ruined (talif) chain.
Details of the narration: He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came in to me while I had some dates, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is this?" I said: We have stored it for our winter. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you not fear that you will see its vapour in Hell?"
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Something similar has been narrated from Abu Hurayrah and others.
Reference / Source: See these narrations along with their takhrij in Ibn Hajar's "al-Matalib al-'Aliyah" (3169, edited by Sa'd al-Shithri).
Grading: None of them is authentic.
