It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If four qualities are present in you, then whatever of the world escapes you will not harm you: guarding a trust, truthfulness in speech, good character, and a pure morsel of food."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: In al-Hakim, and from him in al-Bayhaqi's "Shu'ab al-Iman" (4878), (the narrator's name) occurs as "Ibn 'Umar". Technical note / Defect ('illah): This is an error (wahm); the correct position is that it is the hadith of Abdullah bin 'Amr bin al-'As, as in the sources of takhrij.
Grading: This narration is "sahih as mawquf", but this chain is weak due to a break in it (inqita'); for al-Harith bin Yazid (al-Hadrami) is not known to have heard (sama') from Abdullah bin 'Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both), and (the narrator) Ibn Lahi'ah has a poor memory (sayyi' al-hifz). Once he connected the chain when narrating from al-Harith by mentioning Abd al-Rahman bin Hujayrah between them. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: And Bakr bin Sahl, although weak, is corroborated (mutaba'). Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (11/ 6652) recorded it from Hasan bin Musa, from Ibn Lahi'ah, with this same chain, and in it he named the Companion as Abdullah bin 'Amr. Reference / Source: Ibn al-Mubarak recorded it in "al-Zuhd" (1204) from Musa bin 'Ali bin Rabah, from his father, from Abdullah bin 'Amr bin al-'As, as mawquf, as his own statement. Grading: And this chain is strong (qawi).
