Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts a distortion (scribal error) has occurred here, and the name has been mistakenly written as "'Abd Allah".

Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Khalid bin Yazid in the chain refers to "Khalid bin Yazid al-Jumahi al-Misri", and 'Utbah bin Muslim refers to "'Utbah bin Muslim al-Taymi al-Madani".
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Muslim (2132) and Abu Dawud (4949) by way of Ibrahim bin Ziyad Sablan, with this same chain.
Note / Clarification: In the narration of Abu Dawud, only "'Ubayd Allah" is mentioned alone.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Ahmad (8/ 4774) and (10/ 6122), Ibn Majah (3728) and Imam al-Tirmidhi (2834) through the route of 'Abd Allah al-'Umari alone.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Imam al-Tirmidhi said about it that with this chain the narration is "gharib".
