Sayyiduna Qays bin Abi Hazim narrates from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw me sitting in the sun and said: "Move into the shade, for it is blessed."

Hadith Takhrij«
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This hadith is sahih, except for the portion "fa-innahu mubarak" (for it is blessed). Technical note / Defect ('illah): The addition of the aforementioned words is "shadh", because it is not present in the narrations of the major trustworthy narrators who narrated it from Isma'il bin Abi Khalid. The author will bring it in the next hadith through the route of Ibrahim bin Marzuq, from Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi, but Ibrahim bin Marzuq is not such a strong hafiz, and he was contradicted in mentioning this addition. Important point: Al-Hakim's teacher Abu Bakr bin Abi Darim is not thiqah (trustworthy). Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Ahmad (24/ 15515), Abu Dawud (4822) and Ibn Hibban (2800) through the route of Yahya bin Sa'id al-Qattan; by Imam Ahmad (15516) through the route of Huraym bin Sufyan al-Bajali; and in (15518) through the route of Waki' bin al-Jarrah. Technical note / Defect ('illah): All three of these trustworthy narrators narrate it from Isma'il bin Abi Khalid with this same chain, but the aforementioned (shadh) addition is not present in it. Grading: All these chains are sahih. 8/ 94. Reference / Source: On this topic there is a marfu' "mu'dal" narration (one from whose chain two or more consecutive narrators have dropped out) from Mahfuz bin 'Alqamah in Ibn Abi Shaybah (8/ 94).
