It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a man from placing one of his legs over the other while lying down.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
Grading: Its chain is sahih. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ibrahim bin 'Abd Allah refers to "Ibn Yazid al-Sa'di", and Abu al-Zubayr refers to "Muhammad bin Muslim bin Tadrus". Reference / Source: Imam Abu Dawud (4865) narrated it through the route of Musa bin Isma'il, from Hammad bin Salamah, with this same chain. Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Muslim (2099) (74), Imam al-Tirmidhi (2766) and Ibn Hibban (5551) through various routes from Abu al-Zubayr. Note / Clarification: See the narration following this one.
