Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7879

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty loves sneezing, so when one of you sneezes, it is a right upon everyone who hears him that he say 'Yarhamuk Allah' (May Allah have mercy on you)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it. And Imam Bukhari did not leave out any of these hadiths from his chapter headings (tarajim).

Important point: Imam al-Hakim's istidrak (supplementing it as missed by the two Shaykhs) of this narration is the result of his forgetfulness and oversight (dhuhul).
