It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I went with my father to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), and my father asked: "Did you hear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Remorse is repentance'?" He said: "Yes, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Remorse is repentance.'"
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs did not record it with these words. However, they both agreed upon the hadith of the Ifk (the slander), in which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): "If you are innocent in this matter, Allah will soon make your innocence clear; and if you have committed a sin, then seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him, for when a servant confesses his sin and then repents, Allah accepts his repentance."

Reference / Source: This narration is also in "Musnad al-Humaydi" (hadith number 105), but there is no mention there of Sa'id bin Jubayr feeling shy before Ziyad.
