It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began the prayer, he would say: 'Allahu akbaru kabira, wal-hamdu lillahi kathira, wa subhanallahi bukratan wa asila' (Allah is the Greatest, truly great; abundant praise be to Allah; and glory be to Allah morning and evening) - three times - 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min al-shaytan al-rajim, min hamzihi wa nafthihi wa nafkhihi' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan, from his prodding, his spitting and his blowing).
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
(2601). Grading: This narration is "hasan li-ghayrihi" (hasan on account of other supporting reports). Technical note / Defect ('illah): This chain in itself is weak because the condition of Asim al-Anazi is unknown. Important point: "Muhammad" in the chain is Muhammad bin Ja'far. Reference / Source: Via him this hadith is in 'Musnad Ahmad' 27/(16784), 'Sunan Ibn Majah' (807) and 'Sahih Ibn Hibban' (1779) and (2601). Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (764) and Ibn Hibban (1780) narrated it via two other routes from Shu'bah with this same chain. Details of the narration: Mis'ar bin Kidam, narrating it from Amr bin Murrah (in Ahmad 16739 and 16740 and Abu Dawud 765), said "from a man" and did not name Asim. Details of the narration: Husayn bin Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami, narrating it from Amr bin Murrah (in Musnad Ahmad 16760), named him "Abbad bin Asim". (760). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: For the takbir, tahmid and tasbih, the hadith of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) (Sahih Muslim 601) is a supporting report (shahid), and for the isti'adhah (seeking refuge), the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that has already passed with the author (al-Hakim) at number (760) is a supporting report.
