يُغْفَرُ لِمَنْ يُضَحِّي عِنْدَ أَوَّلِ قَطْرَةٍ تَقْطُرُ مِنَ الدَّمِ
The one who offers a sacrifice is forgiven with the first drop of blood that falls

حدَّثَناه أبو بكر محمد بن أحمد بن بالَوَيهِ، حدثنا الحسن بن علي بن شَبيب المَعْمَري، حدثنا داود بن عبد الحميد، حدثنا عمرو بن قيس المُلَائي، عن عطية، عن أبي سعيد الخُدْري قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ لفاطمة: "يا فاطمةُ (1)، قُومي إلى أُضحيَّتِكِ فاشهدِيها، فإنَّ لك بأولِ قطرةٍ تَقطُر من دمِها يُعْفَرُ لكِ ما سَلَفَ من ذنوبِكِ" قالت: يا رسولَ الله، هذا لنا أهلَ البيت خاصَّةً، أو لنا وللمسلمين عامَّةً؟ قال: "بل لنا وللمسلمين عامَّةٌ (2) " (3).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her): "O Fatimah, stand by your sacrificial animal and witness it, for in return for the first drop of its blood, all your past sins will be forgiven." She said: "O Messenger of Allah, is this exclusively for us, the people of the household, or is it general for us and all Muslims?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rather, it is general for us and all Muslims."

(1) قوله: "يا فاطمة" ليس في (ز).
Note / Clarification: The words "O Fatimah" are not present in manuscript (Z).
(2) قوله: "قال: بل لنا وللمسلمين عامة" سقط من (ص) و (م).
Note / Clarification: The words "He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Rather, it is for us and for the Muslims in general" are missing (dropped) from manuscripts (S) and (M).
(3) إسناده ضعيف بمرّة، داود بن عبد الحميد وعطية -وهو ابن سعد العوفي- ضعيفان، وقال أبو حاتم: حديث منكر.
Grading: Its chain is extremely weak.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Dawud bin Abd al-Hamid and Atiyyah bin Sa'd al-Awfi are both weak narrators. Abu Hatim declared this narration "munkar".
وأخرجه البزار (1202 - الكشف)، والعقيلي في "الضعفاء" (453)، وابن أبي حاتم في "العلل" (1596) من طريق إسحاق بن إبراهيم البغوي، عن داود بن عبد الحميد، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by al-Bazzar (1202, Kashf al-Astar), al-Uqayli in "al-Du'afa'" (453) and Ibn Abi Hatim in "al-Ilal" (1596) via Ishaq bin Ibrahim al-Baghawi, from Dawud bin Abd al-Hamid, with this chain.
