أخبرني أحمد بن محمد بن سَلَمة العنزي، حدثنا عثمان بن سعيد الدارمي، حدثنا يزيد بن عبد ربِّه، حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم، قال: سألتُ محمد بن عَجْلان عن أخذ الشَّعر في الأيام العَشْر، فقال: حدثني نافعٌ: أنَّ ابنَ عمر مرَّ بامرأةٍ تأخذُ من شعر ابنها في أيام العَشْر، فقال: لو أخَّرتيهِ إلى يومِ النَّحر كان أحسنَ (1). It is narrated from Nafi' that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) passed by a woman who was cutting her son's hair during the ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah, and he said: "If you had delayed it until the Day of Sacrifice, it would have been better."

Grading: This chain is "qawi" (strong) on account of Muhammad bin Ajlan. وأخرج ابن أبي شيبة (14997 - عوامة) من طريق مجاهد عن ابن عمر قال: من أراد الحج فلا يأخذ من شعره شيئًا. Reference / Source: It was recorded by Ibn Abi Shaybah (14997, Awwamah edition) via Mujahid, from Ibn Umar, who said: "Whoever intends Hajj should not take anything from his hair."
