Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked: How was the recitation of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: "He (peace and blessings be upon him) used to draw out the words (with elongation)," then he recited "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful", drawing out the words "the Most Gracious" and "the Most Merciful."
This too is a supporting report (shahid) for the previous narrations.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is sahih. Important point: "Hammam" in the chain is Hammam bin Yahya al-Awdhi, and "Jarir" is Jarir bin Hazim. Reference / Source: Al-Bukhari (5046) and Ibn Hibban (6317) narrated it via Amr bin Asim with this same chain. Note / Clarification: With al-Bukhari this narration is transmitted through "Hammam" (bin Yahya) alone. Reference / Source: Ahmad narrated it in 19/(12198), (12283), (12341), 20/(13002), (13050) and 21/(14076), as did al-Bukhari (5045), Abu Dawud (1465), Ibn Majah (1353), al-Nasa'i (1088) and (8005), and Ibn Hibban (6316), via various routes from Jarir bin Hazim, but these do not contain the words "thumma qara'a" (then he recited).
