أخبرنا الحسن بن يعقوب العدل، حدثنا أحمد بن الخليل، حدثنا عبد الصمد بن عبد الوارث، حدثنا همّام عن قَتَادةَ، عن عمرو بن شعيب، عن أبيه، عن جدِّه، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "كُلُوا واشْرَبُوا وتصدَّقوا في غير سَرَفٍ ولا مَخِيلةٍ، إِنَّ الله تعالى يُحِبُّ أن يُرَى أثرُ نعمتِه على عبدِه" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

Amr bin Shu'ayb narrates from his father, who narrates from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat, drink and give charity, provided there is no extravagance or arrogance in it, for Allah Almighty loves that the effect of His blessing should be seen (outwardly) upon His servant."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

وأخرجه أحمد 11/ (6695)، وابن ماجه (3605)، والنسائي (2351) من طريق يزيد بن هارون عن همام بن يحيى، بهذ الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad narrated this report in the "Musnad" 11/ (6695), Ibn Majah (3605) and al-Nasa'i (2351) through the route of Yazid bin Harun, from Hammam bin Yahya, with this same chain.
