حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا الرَّبيع بن سليمان، حدثنا شعيب بن الليث بن سعد، حدثنا الليث، حدثني محمد بن عَجْلان، عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد المَقبُري، عن أبي هريرة، عن رسول الله ﷺ: أنه كان يقولُ على المنبر: "أُحرِّجُ مالَ الضَّعيفَين: اليتيمِ والمرأةِ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say on the pulpit: "I declare it a sin and a cause of hardship to squander the wealth (and rights) of the two weak ones: the orphan and the woman."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Grading: Because of the presence of Muhammad bin 'Ajlan, this chain is "qawi" (strong).
وأخرجه ابن حبان (5565) من طريق عيسى بن حماد، عن الليث بن سعد، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Imam Ibn Hibban (5565) through the route of 'Isa bin Hammad from al-Layth bin Sa'd, with this same chain.
وسلف عند المصنف برقم (212).
