حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا بَحْر (1) بن نصر، حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب، أخبرني أبو هانئ الخَوْلاني، عن أبي علي الجَنْبي - وهو عمرو بن مالك - عن فَضَالة بن عُبيد، أنه سَمِع النبيَّ ﷺ يقول: "أفلَحَ مَن هُدِيَ إلى الإسلام، وكان عيشُه كَفَافًا، وقَنِعَ به" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadalah bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Successful is the one who was guided to Islam, whose livelihood is just sufficient for his needs (kafaf), and who is content with it."
This hadith has an authentic (sahih) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts available to us the word here has been corrupted into "Yahya".
(2) إسناده صحيح. أبو هانئ الخولاني: هو حميد بن هانئ. وسلف برقم (98).
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The full name of the narrator Abu Hani' al-Khawlani is Humayd bin Hani', and he has already been mentioned under hadith number (98).
